COVID-19 Practice Protocol – McKinney Lacrosse
COVID-19 PRACTICE PROTOCOL

COVID-19 Practice Protocol

The following guidelines have been put into place in order to keep our players, coaches and all McKinney Lacrosse families safe and out on the field.
We know that everyone has their own opinion about wearing a mask, the seriousness of COVID-19, and how necessary they think these procedures are. However, we also know that the only way our lacrosse season continues safely is with the full support and cooperation of us all.
While we prepare for a normal spring lacrosse season, we ask that you not send symptomatic players to practice or games.
If necessary, the board will reinstate the following COVID practice protocol for the season.
COVID 19 PRACTICE health and safety policies:

1.) When arriving to the field you must have your temperature checked by a coach. If you are 99.9 or
higher you will Be Sent HOME, no questions asked.
2.) When being sent home for any health reason, you will need to wait on the opposite side of the
fence (off of the field) for your ride.
3.) There will be NO spectators or parents allowed on the field for practices.
4.) During games, ALL SPECTATORS and PARENTS must wear masks.
5.) Masks are required at all times during practice. Players will arrive in their mask and will depart in
their mask. They will be required to wear their mask during portions of practice when we are huddled
up for explanation where distancing is not an option. (Players will not have to wear their mask during
physical play.)
6.) The COVID health-check questionnaire should be reviewed by parents and players before each
practice and game. Parents and players are required to be familiar with the health-check; if the answer
is YES to any item on the checklist, the player is not permitted at practice or games for the period of
time outlined on the health-check. (The COVID health-check is attached.)
7.) When arriving at practices and games, 6 feet of space will be maintained between player’s gear.
Coaches will help with this.
Please know that we are all in this together. We want to continue to play lacrosse and would hate to
have to move to virtual training as a result of a positive COVID case in the club. Please help us follow the
protocol to make sure we have the best chance at playing a FULL lacrosse season. We appreciate your
help with this.
